Another medal for UAE Team L’IMAD at the 2026 UCI Track World Championships in Shanghai, China.
Today, in the Women’s Time Trial, Dutch rider Sofie van Rooijen claimed a fantastic bronze medal. The result was a pleasant surprise, capping off an outstanding performance by the Dutch sprinter.
Germany’s Pauline Sophie Grabosch took gold with a time of 1:04.572, averaging 55.752 km/h. Silver went to another Dutch rider, Hetty van de Wouw, who finished just 0.651 seconds behind the winner.
Van Rooijen recorded the third-fastest time of 1:05.398, just 0.826 seconds off the winning time, at an average speed of 55.048 km/h — enough to secure a well-deserved place on the podium and bring home the bronze medal.
