Maeva Squiban Wins Chrono des Nations

UAE Team L’IMAD claimed its 30th road victory of the season at the Chrono des Nations, thanks to a superb performance by French rider Maeva Squiban, who won today’s time trial in Les Herbiers.

Over the 27.23-kilometre course, the Breton rider set the fastest time of 35:36, averaging 45.891 km/h. Canada’s Nadia Gontova (Liv AlUla Jayco) finished second, 24 seconds behind, while France’s Juliette Berthet (FDJ United-SUEZ) took third place, 39 seconds down.

Italian rider Eleonora Gasparrini also delivered a strong performance, finishing sixth, 57 seconds behind the winner.

The victory caps an outstanding season for UAE Team L’IMAD. Pending official confirmation from the UCI, expected next Tuesday, these results put the team at the top of the 2026 UCI Women’s World Ranking for Teams, confirming its position as the world’s leading women’s cycling team after a season filled with success and outstanding performances.

Maeva Squiban said: “I’m really happy to have won today. I had already won here as a junior, and to do it again at Elite level is something I’m very proud of. It was my last race of the season, and I wanted to put in a good performance to thank all the staff who have been working behind the scenes. The best way to do that was to win today, and I’m delighted I managed to do it. Now it’s time to enjoy some time off.”
