Once again, UAE Team L’IMAD riders have achieved strong results at the UEC Road European Championships in Slovenia, adding two more medals to their tally.
Maeva Squiban won the gold medal in the Mixed Relay Team Time Trial, helping France claim the European title on the 44-kilometre course in Šenčur. Squiban raced alongside fellow French riders Juliette Berthet, Thibault Guernalec, Rémi Cavagna, Cédrine Kerbaol and Bruno Armirail in the event, which features men’s and women’s riders competing together as part of the same team.
France completed the course in 1:00:19, finishing 42 seconds ahead of Italy, who took the silver medal. Elisa Longo Borghini was part of the Italian team, adding a valuable silver medal to the world title she won in Canada in the same discipline just a few days ago.
UAE Team L’IMAD was also represented in the European Mixed Relay by another rider. Dominika Wlodarczyk, racing for Poland, finished fourth, 4’01” behind France.
