Following her gold medal in the individual time trial, Kazakhstan’s Rinata Sultanova finished eighth today in the women’s road race at the Asian Games – Aichi-Nagoya 2026, currently taking place in Japan.
Competing in the colours of the Kazakhstan national team, the UAE Development Team rider completed the 91-kilometre race, which started and finished in Shinshiro City, in a time of 2:36 behind the winner.
China’s Li Guo claimed the gold medal, while Afghanistan’s Fariba Hashimi took silver and Hong Kong’s Wing Yee Leung completed the podium with the bronze medal.
Two other riders from the team were also in action, representing the United Arab Emirates. Safiya Al Sayegh finished inside the top 20, while Zahra Hussain did not finish the race.
